Safety Precautions
1. Always turn off your computer and unplug it before opening the case.
2. If possible, don’t work in carpeted areas. Carpets increase the risk of static electricity damaging your computer.
3. Wear a grounding strap (available at your local Radio Shack).
4. Don’t force any component into or out of its socket; if it’s meant to go there, it should be fairly easy to put in.
5. Don’t ever open up your monitor or power supply (the cube mounted on the inside back of the computer which the power cord on the outside plugs into).
6. Avoid capacitors (they look like AA batteries but half the height), they can store charge for a while after the PC is unplugged.
7. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Your Lyon Village Computer technician is ready to assist. Please contact us at the number above with any questions or to schedule an appointment. |
